• Morning Stride

  Pastel, 21 x 30. In this painting i particularly loved the strong contrast between the dark, rich morning shadows along the path and the brilliant sunshine along the shore.

• Costal Path II; Late Day Light

  Pastel, 12.5 x 18. This is another view along the path at Delnor Wiggins Pass. This was painted late in the day when the cool shadows were a lovely contrast to the warm late day light.

• Coastal Path; morning light

  Pastel, 13 x 12.5. This was painted after a morning walk along Delnor Wiggins Pass on a colorful, bright morning. The light was strong eventhough it was at a low angle and the high fog was still burning off.

• The Old Fishing Pier on Boca Grande

  Pastel, 10 x 8. This painting was done plein air at a wet paint event on beautiful Boca Grande. It was a brilliant Florida morning and yes the water was this incredible shade of blue-green turquois.

  Pastel, 7.5 x 12.5. This painting was done en plein air at Wiggins Pass here in Naples. I was particularly interested in capturing the feel of the cool soft shadows on the sea grass and the warm sand in an intimate way.
